Why are we here? This is a question that every human wrestles with. Jesus picks up this question in John 17. According to Jesus, we are not here to acquire more possessions, earn more degrees, entertain more friends, or for any other vain reason. Instead, we are here on a mission; as Jesus was sent into the world so he has sent us into the world. We are in the world that the world might believe. We are in the world for the world.
