Find Your People at Mercy Hill
Because Life is Better Together
What Are Community Groups?
Think of a Community Group as a small circle where you can build friendships, find encouragement, and explore faith with others. These groups meet weekly across the Triad to talk about life, dig into questions, and grow together. Joining a group means having a place where you can be yourself, connect on a deeper level, and take steps toward living more like Jesus.
At Mercy Hill, we believe that life’s journey is best shared with others who can walk with you and support you along the way. If you’re ready to see what that’s like, let’s help you get connected.
Types of Groups at Mercy Hill
Mercy Hill offers a variety of groups to fit different stages of life and schedules. Wherever you are on your journey, there’s a group here for you!
Community Groups
Community Groups are open to anyone 18 and older and run in 10-week sessions, with new sign-ups available during ReGroup. Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, married, or an empty nester, these groups are a space for everyone to connect, build friendships, and grow in your faith together.

MH College Small Groups
Designed specifically for college students, MH College Groups give you a place to find friends, share real conversations, and deepen your relationship with God.
High School Groups
Student Groups are a place where high school students can belong, build lasting friendships, and grow in their faith. These groups meet to talk about what God is doing in their lives and to connect with other students on the same journey.

Discover Groups
Discover Groups are perfect if you’re new to Mercy Hill or just want to try out a group. These short-term groups meet for four weeks on Thursday nights at our Ridge Campus, giving you a low-key way to connect, explore faith, and get to know others.
Regroup: Your Season to Join or Recommit
Life doesn’t always stay the same, and neither do our schedules. That’s why Mercy Hill Community Groups are set up in 10-week sessions, with a special sign-up season called ReGroup every 10 weeks. During ReGroup, you can view all groups that are available and join one that fits your schedule. This approach keeps groups flexible and gives you regular chances to make sure your group feels right for you.
Dates
Already in a Group? If your current group is a great fit, you’re invited to stay with them for another 10-week session! Just let your group leader know, and they’ll make sure you’re set for the next session.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in a Community Group?
Each week, you’ll get together with others to catch up, unpack the weekend’s message together, dig into the Bible, and pray for each other. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space where you can get to know people and grow in faith.
How long do groups meet?
Most groups meet weekly for about an hour and a half, while others follow a 10-week session schedule with breaks in between.
Can I join a group even if I’m new to Mercy Hill?
Absolutely! Joining a group is one of the best ways to get connected and grow in your faith. You’re invited to jump in anytime.
What do groups talk about?
Groups dive into meaningful conversations about real-life topics. Each week, discussions center around that week’s message, but they often go much deeper—covering the questions and life experiences that matter to you. In a group, you’ll find:
- Practical advice for everyday life—Whether you’re looking for parenting insights from someone who’s a few steps ahead or support in navigating big life decisions, groups offer space to get wisdom you can put into action.
- Faith from fresh perspectives – Sharing in a group helps you see faith through the lived experiences of others, broadening your understanding and encouraging you in new ways.
- Quality, uplifting conversations – Group time is more than casual talk; it’s a chance to connect over what’s important, share openly, and build relationships that last.
- Guidance on learning to pray – Groups are a safe place to practice praying with and for others, even if it’s your first time. It’s a chance to experience the power of prayer as you grow in confidence.
- Learning to read and apply the Bible – If you’re interested in understanding the Bible better, groups provide a supportive space to learn, ask questions, and figure out what it all means for your life.
Every group conversation is a chance to grow, support others, and become more like Jesus—all with people who care about you and your journey.
How are Community Groups led?
Community Groups are led by people just like you—members of Mercy Hill who have opened up their homes to create a welcoming space for connection and growth. These leaders are trained and committed to guiding conversations and making sure everyone feels at home. Throughout the week, they’ll often keep in touch through texts, emails, or group chats to share updates and encouragement, helping everyone stay connected between meetings. Our leaders are there to make group time feel comfortable, intentional, and real.
When can I join a group?
Groups meet in 10-week sessions, with a break after each session to allow time to rest, regroup, and get ready for the next one. The best time to jump into a group is during our ReGroup season, which happens every 10 weeks. If you’re ready to dive in, keep an eye out for the next ReGroup to find a group that fits your schedule and interests. And don’t worry—we’ll make it easy to join when the time comes! We’ll talk about it…a lot.
How does ReGroup work?
ReGroup is your chance to join a Community Group. Every 10 weeks, we hold a ReGroup season where you can sign up for a new group if your schedule has changed or your current one isn’t a great fit. ReGroup makes it easy to find the right group for you while keeping things flexible for whatever season of life you’re in.

At Mercy Hill, we believe in the kind of community that Jesus modeled
Where people come together with purpose, share life, and lift each other up. When we gather intentionally, just as He did with so many, we create a space for real growth, encouragement, and life-changing connection.
Join a group and step into a circle where you can be known, supported, and inspired to follow Jesus every day.
