The Weekender
Your Path to Get Connected at Mercy Hill
What to Expect at The Weekender
The Weekender is more than just an introduction—it’s your pathway from simply attending Mercy Hill on the weekends to becoming part of a community with purpose. You’ll go from feeling ‘connected to the crowd’ to ‘committed to the family’.
Here’s what the Weekender looks like:
Friday Evening
Join us for a complimentary catered dinner, where you’ll hear from our staff about Mercy Hill’s vision, values, and mission. This relaxed gathering is your chance to learn about who we are and how you can grow with us. Plus, we’ll provide childcare so you can participate knowing your kids are having fun as well!
Sunday Morning – Attend 1 Serve 1
Come to one of our services, and then get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to serve on a weekend team. You’ll explore how your unique gifts can contribute to the work God is doing through Mercy Hill and see how meaningful it is to be part of this community.

FAQs About The Weekender
What exactly is the Weekender, and what can I expect from it?
The Weekender is a two-part experience designed to help you find community and purpose at Mercy Hill.
Part 1 begins with a complimentary Friday night dinner where you’ll meet others like you, our staff, and pastors and hear about Mercy Hill’s mission and vision.
Part 2 is on Sunday where you’ll join us for Attend 1, Serve 1—our Sunday experience that allows you to both attend a worship service and then participate in serving with one of our teams. This hands-on part of the Weekender gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how our church operates and shows you how you can get involved in meaningful ways.
Whether you’re new to faith or just new to our church, the Weekender is a great way to get connected.
I’ve been coming to Mercy Hill for a while—what will I gain from the Weekender?
The Weekender is designed for those who want to move from being part of the crowd to feeling like family. Even if you’re familiar with our mission, this experience gives you a unique opportunity to connect deeper: you’ll meet our staff, hear a fuller picture of our vision, and discover specific ways your involvement can make a difference. So if you’ve been wanting to feel more connected, why not give it a try? At the very least, you’ll get a complimentary dinner, some great conversation, and a chance to meet even more amazing people!
What if I can’t make it to both parts of the Weekender in the same weekend?
We understand that schedules can be challenging! If you attend the Friday dinner but can’t participate in Attend 1, Serve 1 on Sunday, you’re welcome to come back for just the Sunday portion at the next Weekender. Our goal is to make sure you have the full experience and feel ready to take your next step, so reach out to our team, and we’ll help you make arrangements that work for your schedule.
Is childcare available for both Friday and Sunday?
Yes, childcare is provided on Friday evening for children up to 5th grade, so you can enjoy dinner and connect without worry. On Sunday, your kids can join MH Kids while you experience Attend 1, Serve 1.
Is there any cost to attend the Weekender?
Nope! There’s no cost to attend the Weekender—it’s our way of welcoming you and helping you get connected here at Mercy Hill!
I’m interested, but I’m not ready to commit to anything yet. Is the Weekender still for me?
Absolutely! The Weekender is a pressure-free environment designed to help you explore Mercy Hill, meet people, and see if it feels like the right place for you. There’s no obligation to commit—you’re welcome to come, learn, ask questions, and see if this is where you’d like to grow in faith and community.
