Today is a day we are praying and fasting for the cause of life. Love Life has sent out some prayer points in their email today, and we’ve also created some additional points with scripture to collectively pray and fast today.
Praise and Repentance
• Take time to thank God for being the Giver of life. (Psalm 139:13-16)
• Thank Him for creating us in His image and for the hope offered to every human life through the power of the gospel. (Genesis 1:27, 1 Peter 1:3)
• Pray that God would forgive us of wrong attitudes we may have held towards the cause of life or toward those involved in abortion. (1 John 1:9)
All People Involved with Abortion
• Pray for those who are considering having an abortion. Pray that God would intervene and that those considering abortion would turn from it. (Jeremiah 24:7)
• Pray for those involved in the abortion industry. Pray that God would open their eyes and that they would turn from the industry entirely. (2 Timothy 2:24-26, 2 Peter 3:9)
• Pray for those who have an abortion in their past. Pray that they would find healing and hope through the power of the gospel and through the support of the church. (Micah 7:18-19) (Ephesians 1:7-8)
Awakening in the Church
• Pray that the Church of God would speak clearly and compassionately on this issue. (1 Peter 3:14-15, Colossians 4:6)
• Pray that we would balance being a prophetic voice to our culture and a priestly voice to those in need of shepherding. (Acts 4:18-19, James 3:17-18, Matthew 9:35-36)
Church Unity and Mobilization
• Pray that the Church would stand together for the cause of life and that we would see an end to abortion in our day. (John 17:20-23)
• Pray for churches both nationally and internationally that they would unite in prayer to see an end to abortion. (2 Corinthians 10:3-4)
