Wilmington Trip Recap

We believe the church is God’s plan-A for making disciples from among all peoples. That’s why we support church planting in strategic cities around the world. One of those churches is in our own state – The Bridge Church in Wilmington, NC. Last month we sent a team of 23 to help them reach out to their city, and here is a recap to give you an idea of the work God is doing there.

“What impacted me was the location of the church. The Bridge is in a pivotal location near two local schools, down the road from UNCW, and only a couple blocks away from an urban community and they all need to hear the love of Christ. The love of the members is evident in how they display generosity and intentionality by simply building relationships and serving the community. In the book of Jonah, we see how the Lord is merciful and loving on the city of Nineveh. As imitators of Christ, The Bridge is clearly showing this by the love they have for their city. They provide the schools with supplies, assisted in cleaning up yards, gardens, and schools, and have provided a cookout to bring everyone together.”
