The gospel saves…
The gospel sanctifies…
The gospel gathers…
And the gospel SENDS.
The greatness of the gospel is not something that can be contained. When the Apostles were threatened to stop preaching the gospel they replied, “For we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20, ESV). That is the heart that led us to plant Mercy Hill and that is the heart that pushes us to see the gospel go out.
This year is an exciting year for us as a church. We have multiple short-term missions trips planned – to cities here in the U.S., Peru, and India. The first of these trips is right around the corner and we want you to GO. If you are a college student – I would encourage you to check out the following…print out the application…and get it turned in.
What: Serve the City – Baltimore
A sister church of Mercy Hill – Christ Our Redeemer Church – was recently planted in the heart of south Baltimore. It is a church that has a heart to see a movement take place in Baltimore. One of their current needs is to identify community ministries to partner with in Baltimore in order to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
We will take a team of 13 college students to partner with Christ Our Redeemer by working among one or more of the strategic community ministries they have identified in Baltimore. We will also help serve and worship alongside of them during their Sunday morning service.
Oh and we’ll have a little fun eating dinner at the inner harbor and going to an Baltimore Orioles baseball game.
The cost of the trip will be $151 – which includes travel expenses, food, lodging, and the baseball game. Once you’re application has been reviewed and accepted we will provide help in teaching you how to raise the money and how to people can give to support your trip.
When: Thursday, April 10th – Sunday, April 13th.
How: Mercy Hill College
Visit our college page – print out the application – turn it in on Sunday at our community group’s table or to any of our college staff. Space is limited and we will take students on a first come first serve basis.
