There are over 6,000 people groups who live with little or no access to the gospel. That’s 1.7 billion people without a sustainable gospel witness among them. That’s a number too large to ignore and daunting to tackle on our own. That’s why one of the great partnerships Mercy Hill supports is the International Mission Board. The IMB currently has over 4,000 appointed missionaries serving around the globe to bring the gospel to the unreached and plant churches among them. The IMB is also who we are working alongside to reach the Yanesha of central Peru.
If you are interested in global missions, especially in South America, the IMB is hosting its first Missions College January 13-17, 2014 in Richmond, VA. This one week intensive is an opportunity to meet career missionaries from the America’s and to be equipped in sharing the gospel with unreached peoples. Learn more about the Missions College by visiting their website. We as a church want to see some of our people take part, and if you are interested email our missions director, Bryan Miller, at email@example.com
