Mercy Hill Church - High Point Campus Pastor

Meet the New High Point Campus Pastor

When my family and I started attending Mercy Hill a couple years ago, we were looking for a church home; a place to plant roots and grow deeper in God’s Word. After visiting for the first time, we were confident we had found such a place, and just when we were prepared to settle in, Pastor Andrew taught a message on living the SENT LIFE! We had just arrived, and he was already telling us to GO?!

It All Started with a YES . . .

Well, after sitting in the truth of the gospel for some months and realizing that as Christians we have a responsibility to “go & tell,” my wife and I decided to pray bolder prayers for our family. It was no longer all about our comfort and routine, we had finally resigned our hearts to desire whatever God would have for us. What we didn’t know when we began to pray these prayers was just how God would move in our lives. While the unknown can seem scary, we knew one important truth: Jesus was worth it. So, we resolved as a family to say YES to God no matter the ask!

Fast forward to 2019, and here we are, preparing to launch the fourth campus location in High Point.

You see, God never asks us to have all the answers or to even orchestrate the details; he only asks that we would be willing participants in his mission. He takes our YES and miraculously opens doors, moves mountains, and leads us ever so patiently along his path for our lives.

Consider Your YES

The launch of the High Point campus is quickly approaching. Many of you have already expressed your commitment to joining the Launch Team for High Point, and we are grateful for the overwhelming support! We also believe that God is doing a work in the hearts of those who may have never considered what role they can play in fulfilling his mission.

This new campus will be so much more than another building for people to gather. It will be an opportunity to unveil and expose the gospel in High Point for three key reasons:

  1. To Advance the Kingdom of God. The Word of God is alive and active. It alone has the power to resurrect dry bones and bring the dead to life! As followers of Christ we are commissioned to serve alongside one another so that the gospel can be spread to the ends of the earth. The success of the campus will hinge on faithful individuals committed to serving for the mission of God (Matt. 28:19-20).
  2. To Generate Authentic Community. God uniquely designed us to do life in fellowship with one another. That is why, at Mercy Hill, Community Groups are such an integral part of our DNA. We have thirteen Community Groups already meeting in High Point, but we desire to see more groups planted all over the city to unite diverse groups of people through the Word of God.
  3. To Witness Life Transformation. God’s redemptive love changes us from the inside out. When you begin hearing the Word on a consistent basis and live life in community, the Lord is able to heal, restore, and make new! What a joy and privilege it is to know that the hurting, broken, and marginalized can find a place of refuge.

So, the question is, “What do I do now?” Whether you are all in or still undecided, please come to one of the next two interest meetings to hear about the vision for this campus. The next meeting will be Monday, January 28th at 6:30pm at our Regional Campus. The last interest meeting will be Monday, February 18th at 6:30pm at our Regional Campus. Come see how you can play a vital role in kingdom advancement in the city of High Point.
