Hey Mercy Hill college students -what an incredible night we had on Friday at United. God is certainly doing some amazing things in the lives of our college students and that was evident in our time of worship. In case you missed it or needed a reminder we announced some exciting news for Mercy Hill College. This summer we are partnering with The Summit Church and offering a summer project for students called The City Project.
The City Project is not simply a missions trip…it is an experience. It will no doubt be the greatest and most formative experience of your time in college. The City Project is spread out over the entire summer and involves all kinds of exciting components. Right off the bat we will spend a week in New York City working with church planters there to connect them to Muslims living in the borough of Queens. When we get back you will be immersed in missions right here in Greensboro – serving at a local outreach organization, interning at Mercy Hill Church, taking a seminar course (for class credit), and learning from the pastors at Mercy Hill. The culmination of the City Project is spending two weeks internationally with one of the church planters that our very own church supports. You will work right alongside of them – learning the culture and sharing the gospel in a place where Jesus is not known.
We believe that God is a great God and the City Project’s goal is to show you that reality by challenging you to grow spiritually in a setting like you have never experienced and to fulfill the Great Commission in a way you might never have before. I want to invite you to be a part of this – check out the video below and if you have questions please feel free t0 contact me. I can’t wait to see how God uses the City Project in the lives of our students.
