Grouplink: Taking a Step in Discipleship

Life is not only better in community, it is where we were designed to thrive. We believe that discipleship happens in community, and one important step you can take in growing as a disciple is joining a group. Grouplink kicked off at the beginning of January, so check out the Grouplink page here to sign up for a group. Below are some groups that have availability.

Mercy Hill Church - Community Groups - Grouplink - Hairstons

Hairston Group

  • Meets on: Tuesdays at 7 PM
  • Location: SW Greensboro
  • Group Demographic: Multigenerational
  • Bio: The Hairston group is multigenerational and meets near Adams Farm. Jamie and Samantha are new parents to their son, Tyrese, who was born in March of 2019. They actively serve in the Kids and First Impressions ministries. They have been covenant members of Mercy Hill Church for 4 years, and they are passionate to see non-believers come to Christ and lock arms with other believers through gospel-centered community.

Rhodes Group

  • Meets on: Sundays at 6 PM
  • Location: Stokesdale
  • Group Demographic: Multigenerational
  • Bio: The Rhodes have had the privilege of leading a multigenerational group at Mercy Hill for six years. The group has grown, launched new groups, and is ready to bring in new friends once again. Trey and Wendy Rhodes love to solve a good mystery, hike with their two grown children and three grandchildren, and ride motorcycles. They are excited to see who God brings and continue to strengthen relationships with others in the group and Him.

Thompson Group

  • Meets on: Wednesdays at 7 PM
  • Location: Central Greensboro
  • Group Demographic: Empty-Nesters
  • Bio: Ed Thompson is single and has worked in men’s ministry for nearly thirty years. He has led many small groups during this time. Ed’s greatest passion is to witness Christ-followers become all that God designed them to be. Ed’s heart for non-believers beats with that same passion.
