Mercy Hill Church - Grouplink 2019 - Somers Group

Somers Group

Meets on: Tuesdays at 6:30 PM
Location: Greensboro (NW Guilford/Airport Area)
Campus: Edgefield Road
Bio: Shane and Summer have been attending Mercy Hill for almost 2 years. They have been married since 2007 and have 4 children, both biological and adopted. Before coming to Mercy Hill, they served in youth ministry in Orlando, FL. Having joined the launch team for the Edgefield Campus, they are now excited to begin a new Community Group in Northwest Greensboro. They have a passion for adoption and to see God glorified through marriage.

Mercy Hill Church - Grouplink 2019 - Chappell Group

Chappell Group

Meets on: Tuesdays at 7 PM
Location: Southern Greensboro
Campus: Regional
Bio: Jonathan and Hannah Chappell have been at Mercy Hill for three and a half years. Jonathan enjoys serving in First Impressions and Hannah loves helping in Mercy Hill Kids. They have a four year old son and a ten-month-old baby girl. The Chappells love cooking meals together and spending time outside. They are passionate about living in gospel community with others and are so excited to see who God brings to this new group and what He will do in and through them as the group grows together in Christ.

Underwood Group

Meets on: Tuesdays at 7 PM
Location: Greensboro (Clifton Road Campus)
Campus: Clifton Road
Bio: Walter and Elizabeth Underwood and their 4 children have been at Mercy Hill since July 2015. Walter and Elizabeth have participated in Community Group since September 2015 and have lead a group since January 2017. The Underwoods felt called to Greensboro from Louisville, Kentucky. They moved in faith, knowing only 2 people here and without employment. God has blessed them mightily, in so many different ways, and when the Clifton Road Campus began to form, they knew exactly why they were here! Walter and Elizabeth fully understand the impact that one church in many places can make. The Underwood Group is looking forward to continued growth and discipleship with you.

Sheets Group

Meets on: Tuesdays at 7 PM
Location: High Point (North High Point)
Campus: Regional
Bio: Jon and Katelyn have been at Mercy Hill for 6 years. Jon works on staff as the College Ministry Director, and Katelyn serves in Mercy Hill Kids. They have a four year old son, Rhodes, and a one-year-old baby girl, Ray. Jon and Katelyn love drinking coffee and discussing good books. Jon is from High Point, and both are excited about the High Point campus and the starting of a new group!

Murphree Group

Meets on: Sundays at 6:30 PM
Location: High Point (Near 68 just south of I-40)
Campus: Regional
Bio: Native Alabamians, Michael and Kelly have lived in North Carolina for 18 years and attended Mercy Hill for the last 4. They have 3 children scattered across the country. Kelly has a passion for kids and missions, having been a former director of Zookeepers International, a director of the local CEF Good News Clubs at Florence Elementary and Pilot Elementary, and she is currently involved in Hope Now – a Ukranian orphanage. Both Michael and Kelly are avid “foodies” who love discovering new foods and recipes. When not in the kitchen, Michael can be found waist deep in trout streams across the Southeast.

Harrison Group

Meets on: Tuesdays at 7 PM
Location: Greensboro (Lawndale/Lake Brandt near Greensboro Day School)
Campus: Clifton Road
Bio: Austin and Klaire Harrison have been attending Mercy Hill since 2014. They have seen God move in their lives in pretty incredible ways the past few years: Klaire is utilizing her passion of leading worship on the Clifton worship team, and Austin is looking forward to becoming a leader within the church through Community Group and MH Students. In the last two years their family has doubled in size with the additions of Hutch and Indie Grace! They enjoy hanging out with family and friends and spending the summer on Belews Lake. They cannot wait to see what God has in store for this new group and how He will use them for His glory.

Thomas Group

Meets on: Tuesdays at 7 PM
Location: Greensboro (Near Stanley Road)
Campus: Clifton Road
Bio: The Thomas group is a multi-generational group let by Jacob and Anne Marie Thomas. Jacob and Anne Marie are the parents to a full-of-energy little boy named Micah. Jacob and Anne Marie moved from the Raleigh area when Mercy Hill Church was planted. Their desire is to see more and more disciples of Christ being raised up through the local body of the church.

Mercy Hill Church - Grouplink 2019 - Wolfe Group

Wolfe Group

Meets on: Wednesdays at 7 PM
Location: Greensboro (Near Muirs Chapel & Friendly Ave.)
Campus: Clifton Road
Bio: The Wolfe Community Group is made up of men trying to follow Jesus together. Alex is a project manager for a local construction company. They meet on Wednesday nights and would love to grow towards Jesus with you. Please note, this group is only for men.

Meets on: Sundays at 7 PM
Location: Stokesdale (Stokesdale/NW Guilford County)
Campus: Edgefield Road
Bio: Scott and Lori Miller have attended Mercy Hill for about a year and half now after relocating from Florida. They have had the pleasure of leading small groups for over 10 years now and love what Mercy Hill is doing in the Triad. They are blessed with two children who are both still in Florida. They are grateful for their existing Community Group but are excited to see what God can do through creating a new group. The Millers would love for their group to be on the upper age range of a multigenerational group.

Mercy Hill Church - Grouplink 2019 - Patrick Chandler

Chandler Group

Meets on: Tuesdays at 7 PM
Location: Greensboro (Edgefield Campus)
Campus: Edgefield
Bio: Patrick has been attending Mercy Hill for over 2 years now and was baptized here in 2017. He has lived in the Greensboro area his whole life and currently works in Sales and also part time at Mercy Hill as part of the Sermon Research Team. He enjoys hanging out with friends, reading, going to the gym, and going to movies. Patrick is a huge sports fan following the NBA and the NFL, specifically the beloved Carolina Panthers who disappoint him year after year.

Mercy Hill Church Grouplink - Abbey Voss

Voss Group

Meets on: Wednesdays at 7 PM
Location: Greensboro (Fleming Road)
Campus: Regional
Bio: Abbey has been a part of Mercy Hill for almost 4 years, and she is on staff as the Clifton Road Campus Kids Associate Director! She loves to be crafty and go hiking, but mostly she loves to watch really sappy Hallmark movies. Abbey has been in the same Community Group since her freshman year of college and has been so touched by that group of girls. She is excited to see how the Lord will grow new relationships with this group! Please note, this group is only for young professional women.

Thompson Group

Location: Greensboro (Clifton Road Campus)
Campus: Clifton Road
Bio: Ed Thompson is single and has worked in men’s ministry for nearly thirty years. He has led many small groups during this time. Ed’s greatest passion is to witness Christ-followers become all that God designed them to be. Ed’s heart for non-believers beats with that same passion.
