The gospel has always spread the fastest and farthest by faithful everyday Christians in everyday vocations as they go about their everyday lives. City Life is about equipping everyday Christians to connect their faith to their work in the marketplace. Through City Life, we hope to demonstrate to you how your work matters to God and how you can leverage your passions and skills in your vocation for the mission of God. If you want to understand the significance of your future job and how you can leverage it, then City life is for you. Come discover what faithfulness can look like in City Life.
In City Life, students will work a summer long internship, within their vocational field of study. Once a week, they will meet in D-groups to discuss what they are reading and how it applies to their jobs. Throughout the summer, students will attend Weekend Forums where they will learn about faith and work integration from those who work within the marketplace. Ultimately, City Life is a summer long hands-on theological practicum to teach students how to make disciples that make disciples in the marketplace.
City Life students will also have the option to travel abroad through our short-term international missions opportunity, Trek. Here, students will have the chance to serve in an international context alongside Mercy Hill partners. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the mission of God, develop a heart and mind for God, and better understand what it means to leverage one’s entire life for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
