Announcing Our New Series: Sex by God’s Design

Sex. Everyone is talking about it. It permeates almost everything that we see, hear, or experience. TV, movies, books, and music make it a central part of their message; advertisers use it as their not-so-secret weapon; it’s seen as something of a coming-of-age ritual; and some people even use it to achieve positions of power in the world or even at their work. What the world has failed to see is how the prevalence of sex has only just pointed to how enslaved we are to it. Divorce, pornography addictions, sexually aggressive acts, STDs, depression, etc. There’s got to be an answer.

The answer lies in the fact that we’ve gotten sex all wrong. We’ve tried to make it into something for our own benefit and pleasure, but we didn’t create sex. And when you didn’t create something, it seems foolish to tell the creator what its purpose is. God created sex, and he has told us his purposes for it in Scripture. Come check out this series as we look at sex through the Creator’s eyes.

Sex in a Broken World: How Christ Redeems What Sin Distorts by Paul David Tripp

From Amazon: “Sexuality is a fundamental part of what it means to be human―part of God’s beautiful design when he created all things. And yet, sex in our world today looks nothing like the way that God intended it to be. Sexual brokenness surrounds us and, in one way or another, affects us all.

This sexual brokenness reveals our deep need for redemption―something quick fixes, mere behavior modification, or a set of rules can’t provide. Honest and direct yet kind and caring, this book points us to the only place we can find help for sexual brokenness―the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. Only this grace offers hope for a life of freedom, purity, and joy as God intended.”
